Contemporary Artist Marilyn S. Mylrea - Portraiture Faces Masks - Inside the Womb of Women

Where For Art Thou?
Oil on canvas  H. 2' x W. 4'  2004

PORTRAITURE, FACES & MASKS - This painting shows a male angel who has an intense stare in his eyes. The title is meant to represent the angelic world looking down at humankind and asking “where for art thou”. It is a play on words, showing that the angels are questioning what we are doing. Usually humans are questioning the spiritual realm, yet we are the ones who need to answer for our actions.
