Contemporary Artist Marilyn S. Mylrea - Landscapes Landscape Art - Warm Serenity

Finding Your Path
Oil on Canvas   H. 30" x W. 48"   2004

LANDSCAPE ART - This is a painting of a gray sky and water scene. It reminds me of Vancouver and going for a walk on the beach on a wet, cloudy day. The sky is somewhat stormy and this symbolizes a sense of confusion. I will often go for a walk on the beach when I need to clear my thoughts. I find the movement of the clouds inspiring because it shows that everything is constantly changing, and therefore so are life’s problems. Sometimes it is best just to let the winds of change move on and not to worry. This was probably best exemplified in the Beatles song “Let It Be”.
The path reflects finding one’s way amidst uncertain confusion which is symbolically represented in the sky and zig zag motion of the waves.  One cannot see around the corner of the path which represents the future which is always unknown.
