Gallery Artists - Librado Lee Anonuevo

 

Librado Lee Anonuevo is originally from the Philippines and he came to Vancouver in l977.  He graduated with Honors from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in l987.  His work was selected to represent E.C.A.I.D. at both the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the University of Washington.  He has been in numerous exhibitions including the l990 Artropolis show, the Burnaby Art Gallery and the exhibition “Art For Architecture” in Seattle.  He grew up with the political turmoil of the Philippines and he began his art career by initially doing graffiti in the streets.  His recent work has focused on the natural beauty of trees and nature with lush scenery.  His style is both powerful and strikingly beautiful.
