FLORAL ART - This is a painting of a vase with roses in it. The background is soft with a mellow feeling while the roses are painted in an expressionistic technique with lots of impasto. It reflects the beauty of flowers and how they symbolize the power of life. I recently spoke with a florist and we discussed how flowers are an expression of celebration at weddings, and also for sympathy at funerals. They are life and even during times of death, we need their exuberant beauty of glowing energy to uplift our spirits. I hope that this painting reflects the richness and excitement of life.
